About R-LRB

The Spanish Biomolecular Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Laboratory Network or Red de Laboratorios de RMN de Biomoléculas (R-LRB) is a Unique Scientific and Technical Infrastructure (ICTS) in health sciences field. The distributed ICTS consists of a network of high-field NMR instrumentation – including three 800 MHz and three 600 MHz spectrometers- placed in differents locations of Spain.

This Spanish network offers coordinated open access mechanisms to improve national competitiveness in the biomolecular NMR field, through cutting edge NMR instrumentation and know-how.

The R-LRB assists internal and external users from public and private research centers and is open to both the national and the international scientific communities. The R-LRB is currently composed by three nodes:

  • Laboratorio de RMN de Barcelona (LRB) CCiTUB, Universitat de Barcelona, Barcelona

The LRB is part of Scientific and Technologic Centers of the University of Barcelona (CCiTUB). It is located in the Barcelona Science Park Cluster building.

  • Laboratorio de RMN Manuel Rico (LMR), Instituto de Química Física Rocasolano, CSIC, Madrid

The Manuel Rico NMR laboratory is located in the Rocasolano Institute of Physical Chemistry (IFQR) of the CSIC.

  • Laboratorio de RMN de Euskadi (LRE), CIC-bioGUNE, Bilbao

The Euskadi NMR Laboratory (LRE) is located at the Centre for Cooperative Research in Biosciences - CIC bioGUNE, in the Technological Park of Vizcaya.

  • Scientific and Technical Infrastructures (ICTS)

The so-called singular scientific and technical infrastructures (ICTS) are large installations, resources, facilities and services, unique in its kind, that are dedicated to cutting edge and high quality research and technological development, as well as to promote exchange, transmission and preservation of knowledge, technology transfer and innovation.
